About
Gadiel (he/him/his) has always been interested in collaborating with members of marginalized communities to promote the positive visibility of their narratives. His broad production experience ranges from directing and camera operating to post-production.
With a dual degree in Film Production & Social Change (independent major) and Hispanic Studies from Wheaton College (MA), Gadiel deeply believes in the importance of intercultural competence. As such, his work — both academic and professional — has maintained an international focus.
In 2019, he was selected as one of 41 national recipients of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship. This prestigious award enabled him to pursue an independent year-long project, through which he collaborated with queer filmmakers around the globe. During this fellowship, he worked on various projects that are currently in development in Puerto Rico, one of which was editing a sizzle, which was used during the negotiation for a development deal with a major streaming platform.
